Hi guys,
I’m commenting on the Aaron Rodgers story where “If you were vaccinated, you wouldn’t have COVID!” was uttered. For the very first time, I got angry at you guys.
I am a fully vaccinated person who was taking everything very seriously, and I’ve been down with Covid for the past week. I don’t even know where I would have gotten it. I am just so fucking pissed about being a breakthrough case that will probably strengthen some antivax rhetoric where I work, or otherwise call into question my integrity. I can’t describe how frustrating it is to think you are doing everything right, and still be dragged down.
I’m in Wisconsin, and while I am not a huge football person, I did admire Rodgers until this all came out and he started whining about cancel culture. Your take on him and his stupidity in this is spot-on, and I wish I could still enjoy the view from the moral high road I was on before I got sick. Now I feel lumped in with his ilk and I’m railing against the unfairness of it all while feeling shittier than I’ve ever felt physically.
Love you guys anyway, I know you do not intend to be taken as I heard it. I blame the fury of losing my sense of smell before Thanksgiving for my umbrage.
My best wishes for Haley’s (sp?) health to get better, and for a wonderful holiday season for you all.
