Fatwa Bans Men from Being Alone with ‘Handsome Young Boys’
Another great episode. I notice your bumper isn’t referring to you guys as assholes anymore. Good choice. 🙂
I too am a BS-phobe. It seems the holy books of all three Abrahamaic authoritarian religions justify murder of infidels and believers who violate any of the hundreds of abitrary God given commands re behavior. It seems that Islamists ignore the good moral teachings (such as they are) in their holy books and focus on the vicious texts. It seems like any asshole grade school dropout can declare himself an Imam and issue fatwas, just like any fat nasty christian asshole (eg Rush Limbaugh) can declare himself a preacher and pontificate on how gays are ruining the country.
If you get a chance to check out the new HBO series VICE, you should. They opened the series tonight with a piece on suicide bombers in Afghanistan including an interview with a leader of the Taliban. Seems like sending teen boys out with suicide bomber vests after telling them that the explosives will blow outward and will kill only the people around them — is their main method of population control. There were some interviews with failed suicide bombers. The whole thing makes cultural relativism seem kinda lame.
Gloryholes!
Once during the Arkansas segment, I thought you said “Moment of Science”. They gotta start small, I suppose.
Clarification and update on the MS article:
http://msbusiness.com/blog/2013/04/02/governor-withdraws-anti-abortionists-nomination-to-health-board/
Note that Herring was nominated to fill one of the non-physician spots on the board.
“State law says the board must be made up of five currently licensed physicians with at least seven years’ experience in practicing medicine. The other six members must be people “who have a background in public health or an interest in public health who are not currently or formerly licensed physicians.”
The Daily Kos article was pretty misleading in this regard. May want to double check them in the future.
