I haven’t seen the series so this is all about how you presented it; And I may have zoned out at some point but I’m guessing it’s supposed to be “messy and disconnected”, because that’s how they work and think: every 3rd word is Jesus, thoughts aren’t carried to a logical conclusion…
The only thing that seems to be in common is the possibly hypnotic suggestion that once everyone would Jesus, things would work themselves out because Jesus. And the best way to Jesus everyone is to Jesus from the government, where they also expected Jesus would be when the time comes.
