Good episode! But, dang, y’all are gonna get some letters about the TSA stuff. The searches at the airport are useless security theater. Whenever undercover Federal agents test the system, they’re able to get guns and explosives aboard. And, what are they going to do after somebody smuggles in a body-density explosive in his rectum? (Never mind the idiotic, outrageous nonsense TSA agents have done, like making a woman remove her nipple piercing, making women drink their own breast milk, making a child drink pondwater that was part of a science project, etc.)
When you asked, “What’s the alternative”, the alternative is not doing that bullshit. We should perhaps model the TSA on the Israeli system, which doesn’t waste time on racial profiling or random searches, but uses close profiling of behavior.
I’m still trying to figure out who these two guys at the Atheist convention are that were arguing and that Tom got kicked out of a bar over. Am I the only one???
